September Reads 2014

September seems to be a good month for me. I plan to read six books and I ended up with only five books from the lists. I've started reading To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han but I just can't finish it because The Silkworm took most of my reading time. I am so looking forward to October. Hopefully I can steal a lot of time to read or even listen to audiobook.

Books that I've finished in SEPTEMBER

1. Insurgent (Divergent) by Veronica Roth - the second series of Divergent. Read this if you are a fan of Divergent

2. Veronica Mars: An Original Mystery by Rob Thomas: The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line - Love Veronica Mars and I just love that this book pick up where the movie left off. Can't get enough of Veronica Mars. Looking forward to the next book.

3.The Silkworm (A Cormoran Strike Novel) by Robert Galbraith - After reading the first series of the book I just have to pick up this book. This is a very long book and it took me more than a week to finished it. I was never a fan of Harry Porter series but I am definitely a fan of Robert Galbraith. Finally a contemporary book which take place in London and in a world which I can understand better - no magical or dystopian world.

4. Mean Streak by Sandra Brown - I had so much fun reading the book just because I am a fan of Sandra Brown. Not her masterpiece but it is still a good writing. I enjoyed it very much.

5. The 9th Girl by Tami Hoag - Love this book. I have become a fan of Tami Hoag after reading this book. I am so looking forward to reading another book by this author.

Currently reading

1.Mr. Mercedes: A Novel by Stephen King - this is my fourth attempt at reading Stephen King novel. I've tried reading his book many times but it got to scary for me to finish the book. I hope I can read the book till the end. From the synopsis of the book it looks like a normal police and psycho killer story but knowing Stephen King I might be totally wrong.

2.Gone Girl: A Novel by Gillian Flynn - "On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?" excerpt from

I am not sure if September will be a good month for me to read more. Hopefully I can cross a lot of books from my To Be Read Pile.
