My lovely March

I had such an amazing month so far. March really is a tough month for me personally and Malaysian generally. This year is definitely going to be one great year.

March FAVOURITES

• I am in love with Hope in a jar
• I bought Pic tap Go for my iPhone. I've finally cave in and bought one this month. I totally love the filter in this app.
• My baby boy is twenty three month now. And he will be two years old next month
• I am loving the yearly project which is 30 days of list. This is my sixth time joining in the fun of making lists. 
• I am feeling healthier this month and so far there's no sick days.
• I write an Open Letter to my youngest son. I feel like we never write letter to each other anymore.
• Dropbox really makes my life so much easier. I finally have a place where I can keep all my important documents and working files in one place and it will be available to me anywhere in any platform. 
• My Project 365 and  Digital Project Life is going great. So far I've managed to keep up and taking photos daily. I am at the end of first quarter of the year. By next week  I'm in the second quarter of the year.
• I am also doing P90X3 which is only 30 minutes. I like it but not as much as Focus T25.
• I am watching CSI Season 13 and Grimm Season 3 a lot this month.
• The nation unite during the toughest time #MH370 is still missing and so does my friend Sofuan Ibrahim.

I hope you had an amazing March and discover many new favorites. I am looking forward to a beautiful March and spend a lot of time doing more Project Life.

Week 13 [Project 365]

I just love school holidays, too bad it's only one week long. Tomorrow the traffic is going to be horrible again. My week started with me taking two days off from work. I love the time I have to do my own thing and spend them with my kids and family.

HERE IS MY WEEK IN PHOTOS

day 83 - “Be yourself. Above all, let who you are, what you are, what you believe, shine through every sentence you write, every piece you finish.” - John Jakes.. This quote appear in my Day One journal prompt. Love it. 
I took the day off today and spend it with my brother and his family. We went to visit Faiz at his home and see his new born baby girl (Aisha). Finally Damia meet Aisha for the first time. The two cousins born two weeks apart this year.

day 84 - I love spending time with my kids. And every time I hand them a camera things like this happened. Hazwan just discovered that I have the new iPhone and he immediately try the camera and the video first.

day 85 - I just can't grabs the idea that my baby is almost two years old. Today we went to Macdonald and I gave him four pieces of nuggets and he ate them all.

day 86 - Oh boy! This little guy wake up quite early in the morning and he is not making my morning routine easier. He constantly wanting my attention which is very difficult when I am trying so hard to get ready for work.

day 87 - You are Katherine Pierce, suck it up. A quote I got from Episode hemmm I don't remember which one but from the new season of the Vampire Diaries. Such a powerful statement from a Vampire Stefan. Life is hard, suck it up and move on.

day 88- My son spending time with his father at Petronas Grand Prix, Sepang.

day 89 - Another beautiful Sunday morning. Both of them wake up early this morning and as usual we went for Sunday morning breakfast. It's time for Oldtown White Cafe breakfast delight.

These are my life in photos for week thirteen. So many things happened and if I don't take the time to document them I might miss a lot. I still believe when you took the time to document the every day and the good things that happened in your life, you will be more grateful. Just saying.

When I am feeling down...

things or words like this can always lift up my spirit. Words are really powerful. Positive words can make you feel like a million dollars and negative words can make you feel like shit. 

In moment like this you always have a choice even though you might feel like you don't. So today I decided and I choose to surround myself with beautiful people and beautiful words.

#thursday3 [27.03.2014]

I can't wait for this week to be over. Suddenly I have so many projects line up for the weekend. Can't wait to get my hand dirty, create and make beautiful journal and play with Wreck this Journal.

HERE IS MY PHOTO AND FACTS FOR THE WEEK

#1. I am still praying and hoping that my friend Sofuan  ( a passenger on flight #MH370) is still breathing, alive and safe. It is hard for me to process the information distribute from the media because until now there are still no concrete evidence to say that they are not  safe. Anything can happened and anything is possible.

#2. Only a mother instinct can feel and somehow know that their children is still alive or not. My aunt lost touch with her one and only son for twenty years and she still believe that her son is still alive. And in 2010 she received news that her son indeed is still alive. Finally I got a chance to meet my long lost cousin in 2011 when he came home.

#3. I took two days off earlier this week to spend it with my kids. I love school holidays. The traffic to work is light and easy and a lot of my co worker take a few days off.

Hanif // 23 months

Oh boy! Next month he will be two years old. Seriously?! It feel just like yesterday I was holding him in my arms on my hospital bed. Where does my baby goes? I am officially having a toddler in the house.



Some random things about him so far.....

• he loves me a little to much. I love him dearly.


• he cries a lot lately which I have no idea why


• he loves to eat rice


• he always wants me to sit beside him while he plays


• he doesn't watch much television


• communication with him is so much fun. Aside from using his words, he also used sign language to communicate with me


• finding out what he wants when he cries can be very challenging. Sometimes I just have no idea what he wants


• I bought him a few bright and fun toys to play. He seems to enjoy it very much as long as me or his siblings play with him


• I need to upgrade his clothing to two years old and up

Malaysian were shocked with the current news of the tragedy #MH370. I'm not going to say much except what else could they have said. It's probably for the good of the family member and the good of the country. All I can say is Al-Fatihah to those who have perished and may Allah be with them always.

As for my lists, I have managed to make a list up until March 24. I wanted to do March 25 but somehow I don't feel like it today.

Project Life [Week 12]

For week twelve  I used Strawberry Kit from Becky Higgins Digital Project Life. I just love the colour in this kit, sweet, soft and bright all in one. I wanted to add more photos in the layouts but some how I am still lazy to change the template.

Week 12 [Project 365]

School holiday is here. And I am happy to spend it with my kids. And the best thing about school holiday is there's no traffic jam early in the morning. 

HERE IS MY WEEK IN PHOTOS

day 76 - Just another manic Monday, or rather a slow Monday. I don’t have the energy to go to work today. I wish there’s on more day between Saturday and Sunday so that I could have a long weekend. This is a photo of my favourite lipstick from urban decay called obsession. I just love the colour.

day 77 - I just love watching him play with magic colour pen. Scribbling on the paper randomly without thinking too much. He love the colour pink. I think the bright and beautiful colour attract him because the other colour in his collection is not so bright. He can only scribble on the paper for a few minutes before he continue on to his feet and clothing. Oh boy! 

day 78 - I am making a workout plan for this week using ical on iMac. This calendar will sync with my google calendar and it is available to me on my ipad and iphone.




day 79 - I attend 1GovEA at Institute Latihan Islam Malaysia (ILIM). This is where they present the findings from last month survey. I still have no idea how 1GovEA will be beneficial to my Ministry unless the Business Owner involve in the process from the start.




day 80 - I love watching him playing by himself right in front of my room. So so cute!




day 81- It's durian time. We wanted to eat Musang King durian but it was out of stock. We settle for the second best but we still look for the soft and creamy durian.




day 82 - It's time to visit Bookerville Internatinal Book Fair at PICC, Putrajaya. It wasn't what I expected. There's not many books and it's only MPH. I finally bough Wreck this Journal just for me.

Still missing #prayforMH370

It has been two weeks since flight MH370 gone missing and until now there are still no hard evidence regarding the where about of the flight and the passengers. I am still in shocked with the whole incident. Things  like this don't usually happened to Malaysia. So many theories and speculation surrounding this incident that I just don't know which one is the truth. All I want to know is what happened to my friend Sofuan. 

I have been dreaming of meeting him twice already since the incident. Somehow I can feel that he is still here with us. Somehow he is okay and somehow he is trying so hard to go home, to his family and friends. The not knowing what happened to him makes these whole thing so hard. I just don't know how to feel and how to process what I am feeling right now. So many emotions, so many memories and so many feelings. 

In the mean time all I can do is pray for his safety and May Allah protect him and the other passengers. May he is able to come home, safely.

I pray for his safe return.

#thursday3 mini album progress

Last month I shared the album that I used for my #thursday3 project. It's a Project Life Kiwi Mini Album by Becky Higgins. The format of this album is so simple, 4x6 pocket for your photos and 2x3 pocket for your journaling. 

I usually print the photo once a week and I print the journaling once every two weeks. I kept the documentation on my blog every Thursday.

I still did not do any embellishments or decorations in this project. I try to kept this project as simple as possible.



My weekend project:
Print photos for february and march for Project Life album. I might make an effort to decorate and journal more. Continue beautify my journal and write in the journal. And maybe doing Wreck Your Journal with my daughter.

#thursday3 // 20.03.2014

I am excited today because I am working outside of the office and place where I have to go is closer to home. So I am able to save on time and I got a few extra minutes to do things I love which is kissing and hugging my baby boy.

HERE IS MY PHOTO AND FACTS FOR THE WEEK

#1. The missing flight MH370 is still missing. It seems like there's no official news about the whereabout of the flight and the passengers. I pray to Allah that my friend Sofuan is safe and he has a chance to come home soon.

#2. I cooked two days in a row for dinner. Suddenly I have this craving to eat pasta. I copy Bethany Mota recipe which is super easy to make.

#3. I watched the latest three episodes of Greys Anatomy season 10. So full of drama and complicated relationships..

Write a letter to my dear son

Wow! It has really been a long time since the last time I wrote a letter. I am not sure where to begin. Writing a letter felt so personal and emotional. Last week I read about Ali's letter to her children and it was very powerful and moving. I am thinking of writing them a notes in a dedicated journal for each child. Maybe when they get married I will hand them the journal. Or maybe I will send email to them on a weekly basis, documenting their lives from my perspective as a mother and about life in general. I am not sure yet which approach will be more simple for me. I may have to experiment a little and see what works.

For today entry I would like to document about what happened last night at home with my dear Hanif.

Being a kid in the 21st century isn't easy. There are too many distraction and too many gadgets at your disposal. And as a mother and as a parent, it is easier to hand you the iPhone or the iPad as a distraction. I realised that too much gadget is not good for your development. So when I saw you picked up a colour pen and started scribbling on a drawing paper, I was so excited. I felt like you have master a motor skill to hold a pen and control the movement of a pen on a piece of paper. It is a big accomplishment. You were so mesmerise by the process that you don't even notice I was holding a camera and snapping photos of you. Moments like this are so precious to capture and document because some day your drawing or handwriting won't look like this.

After a few minutes of scribbling with various colours and pens on the paper, you changed course and started to scribble on the floor. I took your hand and gave you a fresh sheet of paper and told you to scribble on the paper instead. You started to scribble again on the paper happily. But after a while and when I wasn't looking, you hold the pink colour pen and started to scribble on your feet, your hands and all over your clothing. Oh boy! It looked like you were having so much fun. I hand you the paper again and asked you to write on the paper but you immediately refused. You started crying. I let you do what you want and at the same time trying to negotiate with you to write on the paper. You started screaming and shaking your head.

I immediately knew that you were tired, you wanted to stop but you didn't know how. So I put away the pens and papers and I held you in my arms and started nursing. You begin to calm down and slowly getting sleepy.

I really enjoyed this intimate and special moment that we shared together while nursing. I know that it doesn't last long and before I know it, you will be in school and worrying about your next exam. Time does fly faster that I would have like but for this moment, I am enjoying it even though I may feel tired all the time.
