Mom!!! Stop playing with your new toy!

My kids will always scream at me every time I pull out my iphone and play with Hipstamatic. This usually happened when I am in my car and snapping a few self portrait is a must! They even have to take my phone and make me focus on the tasks at hand. hehehehe.. thanks kids for making me come back to reality!
As promise I will share one new photography apps I am currently obsess with. This one is called Hipstamatic.
“Hipstamatic is a digital photography application for the Apple iPhone. It uses the iPhone's camera to allow the user to shoot square photographs, to which it applies a number of software filters in order to make the images look as though they were taken with an antique film camera. The user can choose among a number of effects which are presented in the application as "lenses", "films" and "flashes". Several of these are included with the application, while others need to be purchased separately.
Hipstamatic is part of a "retro" trend in photography, which has seen a rise in the popularity of cheap and technically obsolete analog cameras (such as Lomography and Polaroid instant cameras), as well as software filters and smartphone software that emulate such cameras. Other "vintage" photography applications include CameraBagand Instagram. Like Hipstamatic, they often include social networking features to facilitate the exchange of photos via the internet” source Wikipedia.
And this is why I am obsess with it!
This apps. reminds me of my old camera. Way back when there’s only 35mm film, it only took 12 rolls, 24 rolls or 36 rolls and it took like a week to develop the film before you can enjoy it.
I like the random effects I get when I changed the camera lens and the films. The only setback is if when want different kind of lens or films you have to pay for them.
I am still learning and exploring the different combination and the effects that came with it. This might keep me occupied a bit.
These are some of the beautiful shoots by some of the professional out there! Enjoy!! All the photos are from the big hisptamatic show
